Many activities can be enjoyed on the beaches and in the water around St Andrews. Both the East and West Sands are Blue Flag beaches, with high standards of cleanliness, safety and plenty of facilities.  Enjoy some of the following during your stay in St Andrews:

Sailing St Andrews Sailing Club is based at the East Sands in Woodburn Lane.

Fishing takes place at the harbour and off the beaches. St Andrews Angling Club fishes in Loch Cameron, just south of the town.

Swimming Sea bathing at the East Sands and West Sands, swimming pools in the East Sands Leisure Centre and through Madras Community Use at Kilrymont Road.

Windsurfing is a popular activity off the West Sands

Kiting also takes place off the beaches round St Andrews, especially at the West Sands
