| For
many visitors to St Andrews there is one major attraction
- to play golf. With a wide range of courses in the town itself,
catering for all ages and abilities, St Andrews has so much
to offer. Alternatively it is a good base from which
to play not only the local courses but also other fine courses,
such as the Dunhill Links courses of Carnoustie and Kingsbarns.
To access golf is so easy, with the ability
to book ahead on-line, to enter the ballot for the Old Course
or simply to park your car close to the course of your choice
and go to speak to the helpful Links Trust staff, all of whom
are well used to helping visitors with their golfing questions.

St Andrews has two main beaches offering miles of sand to
enjoy - for sunbathing in the summer, swimming, sand yachting
or flying kites. The aquarium is well worth a visit.
The harbour has safe anchorage for small boats whilst the
sailing club has regular events during the year.
