Swilken BridgeSt Andrews Old Course and Links is the largest golfing complex in Europe, comprising of 6 Public Courses and a golf practice centre. In addition there are two public clubhouses with full service and catering facilities.

The Old Course in St Andrews, an 18 hole championship course, is naturally a popular choice. The unique daily ballot system offers ample opportunity for play and to live any golfer's dream, during a a few days stay in St Andrews. St Andrews Links Trust administer the ballot.  Some of the members of SAHGHA have tee time packages which include guaranteed starting times on the Old Course along with starting times on either the Jubilee or New Courses.

St Andrews links offer 5 additional golf courses ranging from championship standard to a course ideal for children and beginners and a new course is currently under construction and due to open next year. Hotel and Guest House accommodation providers within this site will be pleased to provide detailed information and advice on all your golfing requirements and can help you to pre-book preferred tee times where available. Over 20 golf courses lie within a short drive of St Andrews including Open Championship venue Carnoustie Links, the world famous Kingsbarns Links, and Open qualifying venues of Scotscraig, Leven, Lundin Links and Ladybank. The Duke's Course is located just outside St Andrews. The St Andrews Bay courses are recent additions, with the Torrance course getting great reviews. St Michael's Golf Course is about 4 miles from St Andrews and Drumoig about 5 miles. Other nearby courses include Cupar, Elmwood and Elie. The avid golfer is truly spoilt for choice with many high quality courses combining a true test of links conditions with the variety of heathland inland courses.

A unique one-stop booking system exists for four of the oldest golf courses in Fife - Crail, Scotscraig, Lundin Links and Ladybank. If you visit the Links with History site you can get further information.

Within St Andrews there are many top quality golfing shops providing a range of golfing equipment and accessories including golf clubs, balls, bags, gloves and shoes - all the equipment you will ever need and a lasting memory of your round in St Andrews.  You can also hire clubs to play on any of the courses from a number of outlets.
